HP Officejet Pro 8720 Driver Download

HP Officejet Pro 8720 Driver Download - The HP Officejet Pro 8720 is an all-in-one color inkjet printer, scanner, fax machine, and copier with a massive footprint that unapologetically dominates any desk on which it is placed.

It is available in black and white. It works admirably in the majority of areas, and our testers were particularly taken with its huge touchscreen control panel.

In particular, it is capable of producing high-quality graphics at the lowest possible color printing prices, which we have not yet met.

If you're primarily interested in printing color graphs or infographics, the Officejet Pro 8720 Printer will be a good fit for you.

The text quality is one of the program's major drawbacks. While the text it generates isn't bad, the quality is very low, with several errors that are immediately evident.

The following sections go into further detail about the Officejet Pro 8720's capabilities.

It has a low cost of $0.03 per page or $15 per ream of paper when printing in black and white.

If you print in color, it was the most cost-effective of the printers we tested, printing at a cost of only $0.07 per page or $34.29 per ream of paper.

We determined its anticipated lifetime cost to be $515, which is almost exactly the median of the other estimates we looked at.

There's no doubt that the Officejet Pro 8720 isn't a budget printer, but it isn't going to break the bank either, and it might be an especially suitable choice for people who print a lot of color pages.

Text Quality

The Officejet Pro 8720's text quality is not up to par with the competition. It received a 3 in our text quality test, which was only one point higher than the lowest score of 2 and much below the highest score of 9.

However, the text appeared black and full-bodied, although the edges were rarely crisp. Edges seemed jagged or blotchy on a majority of occasions.

Italics were particularly poor, with the letters appearing pixelated and wavy. Even while the text wasn't terrible, it wasn't up to the standards you'd expect from a printer of this class.

Utilization Ease

The Officejet Pro 8720 performed admirably in our ease of use assessment, receiving an 8 out of 10 rating, only one point off the maximum score of 9, and a long way ahead of the worst performer, which received a 4.

In comparison to the other versions we examined, it offers the biggest touchscreen control. Toggling between its different features and HP's web-connected printer applications is a piece of cake on this interface, which also helps customers through the first setup stages automatically.

It comes equipped with an automated document feeder, but strangely enough, it does not contain a bypass tray.

Some customers who frequently print on envelopes or unusual paper may be inconvenienced by this, but it will not be a problem for the vast majority of users.

The only serious difficulty our testers encountered, apart from the usual wireless printer connectivity issues, was the USB connector for a flash drive.

It had a lot of difficulties connecting. In addition, the HP 8720 is, to put it mildly, a beast. It is the largest printer we have tested, and it has a tendency to print with such force that it rattles whatever platform it is resting on.

As a result, unless you have a huge, robust desk, you may want to avoid this model.

Printing Speed

The Officejet Pro 8720 received a score of 5 in our printing speed tests, placing it in the middle of a range of results that ranged from 2 to 9 for the metric.

In the normal single-sided text document printing speed test, it generated pages at a rate of 11 pages per minute, which is quite fast.

This is a very sluggish pace, considering that the slowest model we examined could only do 6 pages per minute.

The Officejet Pro 8720 made up for some of its shortcomings by printing double-sided documents at a pace of 10 pages per minute, scarcely slowing down at all.

It printed a full-page high-resolution photo in 62 seconds, which was about typical for the tests conducted at the time.

However, even though the Officejet Pro 8720 is not a speed demon, it does a fair job of printing double-sided documents at a respectable pace.
